Devin Dugan is the Artistic Director of ImprovCity and also a founding member. With over twenty-seven years of improv experience, Devin has performed, taught and trained with numerous troupes across the country, including The National Comedy Theatre, The Second City Hollywood, ComedySportz, ComedyCity, LA Connection, and Idiot Central just to name a few. He is one-half of the two-man improv comedy duo Coffee Break, and is also one-half of the improv musical comedy duo Chemical Substitute. He also created and performs with Shakespeare Mint Shake, a long-form improvised Shakespeare show. He has also performed standup comedy all over the country, including performing at the HBO/U.S. Arts Comedy Festival.
Devin was the creative mastermind behind the successful novelty book Improvisers Drawing Stick Figures and has written for Nostalgia Digest magazine. He is a multi-award winning screenwriter with many of his works winning top honors in film festivals across the globe.
He has written, directed and starred in television, films and commercials, and is the producer of ImprovCity Films, a production company that creates web series, shorts, features and documentaries.
Devin has also directed live plays. Some of his past stage productions include The Cocoanuts, The Werewolf's Curse, The Time of Their Lives, and Les Misérables.
