LongForm 201: Slacker and Armando
ImprovCity's Longform 201 classes dive further into the world of long form improvisation. The 201 class specifically teaches the Slacker and Armando forms of improv. In the Slacker format, all scenic transitions are made via tag out—no sweep edits or “cut to”. Every new scene will have at least one character from the previous scene. The Armando format starts with a storytelling-style monologue, based on an audience suggestion. After the monologue, performers play improvised scenes inspired by the monologue, and the monologue may even continue, later on in the performance.
Class is 8 weeks long and students get to perform a showcase on the ImprovCity stage for family, friends and fans.
CLASS PREREQUISITE:
ImprovCity's LongForm 101 class, or the equivalent from another established improv school or training center.
