CLASSES CURRENTLY ENROLLING:

StandUp Comedy Workshop
​Duo Improv​

DROP-IN CLASS - every Monday night from 8-10pm, ImprovCity offers drop-in improv classes. Whether you're brand new to improv or a returning pro, come learn with us. We have class EVERY Monday (except major holidays). 
IMPROV 101 - an eight week class where students will learn the core concept of "Yes, and..." to create improvised scenes through agreement and collaboration along with introduction to creating characters.
IMPROV 201 - an eight week class that continues what was taught in Improv 101. This class has a strong focus on the study of emotion, relationship, point-of-view, environment, and heightening.
IMPROV 301 - an eight week class that focuses on advanced character development and storytelling, including learning the concept of scene edits, transitions, and callbacks.
INTRO TO LONGFORM - an eight week class that provides a foundation for longform improvisation. Students will explore characters, stories, themes, and patterns while becoming familiar with many of the prominent forms and structures.
LONGFORM 101 - classes are focused on organic narrative long-form improvisation. Students will dive into story structure, focus on character development, and learn to create a backstory and timeline of events.
LONGFORM 201 - classes dive further into longform, with focus specifically on the Slacker and Armando formats.
INTRO TO HAROLD - an eight week class that teaches students the longform improvisational form which is the basis for many other longform creations.
IMPROV TO VOICE OVER -  This introductory course is geared towards anyone interested in learning the foundation of voice over technique, all from the comfort of your living room. With an emphasis on story telling and strong acting, we’ll cover commercials, animation, script analysis, improvising for voice over, and getting comfortable behind the mic.
ONE-ACT PLAYS WORKSHOP - This is long form improv, taken to the next level.  Learn how to create one-act plays on the spot, based upon audience suggestions, that are as good as any written plays being produced.
IMPROV FOR TEENS - a class for teens ages 13-17 years old that provides a fun and supportive environment for students to learn the basics of improvisational acting, storytelling, and stagecraft, all while learning to work collaboratively with others and build new friendships.
KIDS IMPROV WORKSHOP - for ages 8-12 years old, students learn the skills of accepting and celebrating mistakes, making bold choices, trusting their instinct, being a team player, and thinking quicker on their feet - all while also learning some fun improv games.  
DUO IMPROV WORKSHOP - a course for two person teams to learn how to work better together and connect more with your scene partner. Students learn how to edit scenes with only two people, swap characters, play throughout various genres and more.
STANDUP COMEDY WORKSHOP - a course for those wanting to learn the art of standup comedy. Students will learn how to create a strong point of view, how to write fresh material, and patterns of delivery that work best for their stage persona. 
SKETCH COMEDY 101A - an eight week course that introduces people to the world of sketch comedy through the means of improvising scenes and turning those scenes into a more structured sketch comedy show.
SKETCH COMEDY 101B - an eight week course that introduces people to the world of sketch comedy through the means of writing sketches and acting them out after revisions and editing.
